Had dinner here may 2019. Excellent
Traveling back from California and will have dinner here at Bella vista sometime week of August 26 2019
Looking forward to it -

The food here is cheap and has large portions, but's is very generic/unremarkable. If you're hungry and just need a place to fill up, it would work.
Menu is a bit limited, and they only offer tiramisu for dessert (which I haven't tried).
The staff are attentive and helpful. -

Freezing cold on a Saturday night on the North End and we popped in this place because it was the only one with open tables. (Which maybe should have been a good indicator, but like I said, we were desperate) The menu was pretty basic. The service was very slow despite the fact that it was pretty empty. When they finally did come to take our order, we asked some questions about the food and the waitress was generally unhelpful. I went safe with the chicken parm but my date ordered a meal with prosciutto in it. The food she got looked generally unappetizing and had the SMALLEST amount of prosciutto on the chicken. My meal was nothing unusual. So maybe this place would be a good place to stop if you are in a pinch on the North End, but it's much to pricey for a sub par Italian dish.

Holy moly. Talk about GOOD. We went here to carb load for the 2018 Boston Marathon because we forgot to make reservations and they were the only place on Hanover with an open table. We stumbled in and ordered our meals, but did not expect it to be SO good. This is a stripped down dining experience, but you get more than your money's worth. Service is not 5 star, but the food makes up for it. The bread? Hot and delicious. The pasta? Perfectly cooked. My eggplant was phenomenal. But man, that sauce... WOW. We just had to come back, and they did NOT disappoint the second time around. We'll see you for our next trip to Boston, Bella Vista!

This is the best Italian restaurant I've been to in a very long time. Family friendly, romantic and welcoming!
You feel like family coming home for an authentic meal!
Lucia is a doll!!
There's no rushing you out the door... they want you to enjoy your meal and company.
When in Boston, I will be returning to Bella Vista!!
